Professor Rosenwald elected President for NASW-Florida Chapter 201

Dr. Mitchell Rosenwald*, LCSW, Associate Professor, *was elected* as the *President for the NASW- Florida Chapter on July 1, 2012* for a two-year term. NASW-Florida Chapter is the central professional organization for social workers in the state, with a goal to provide advocacy, education and support for the social work professionals and clients. Dr. Rosenwald also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board, whose tasks are to set the annual legislative advocacy agenda for lobbying, identify ways to increase and retain membership and provide guidance to the administrative staff on the planning of the annual conference and other continuing education workshops and credits for licensure requirements.

Dr. Rosenwald states he is excited about serving as the President and that he can make a significant contribution from his perspective as both a social work educator and practitioner.
