Comprehensive Candidacy Examination February 1; re-take in May.

Candidates actively assemble dissertation committees, develop dissertation proposals. Dissertation brown-bags for candidates and faculty serving on committees re: dissertation process, proposal development, graduation details, and other topics TBA.

Optional: SW 800: Directed Independent Study (3 cr) or elective course(s) in other Barry Schools/ departments or Universities)

Student Completes dissertation proposal and commences dissertation research at this point: data collection, analysis, final write-up, and defense. While completing the dissertation, students register for SW 799: Continuous Matriculation (3 cr).
