Victor Romano, assistant professor of sociology and criminology, earned a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Florida International University and an MA and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Romano teaches courses on race, class, and gender, marriage and the family, and introductory sociology. His professional interests include racial and ethnic relations, gender stratification, childlessness, and sexuality. Romano has presented his work at regional and national conferences and serves as a board member on the Miami-Dade County Equal Opportunity Board. His most recent (co-authored) work on childlessness has appeared in Sex Roles: A Journal of Research and his book on racial and gender social dilemma cooperation is forthcoming.
