Letter from the Center for Leadership and Transitions Services

Dear StART attendee,

Welcome to the Barry University community. It is our pleasure to welcome you as you embark on your journey here at Barry and for making the commitment to have a great “StART” to your college career.

Attending StART is the first step you will take to become an active and vital member of our community. By participating in StART you will have the opportunity to meet other new students, as well as returning students who serve on our StART team and who will be on hand to act as a great resource during the program and beyond. Who better to assist with your transition than students who have been in your shoes before and are great examples of what Barry has to offer?

There will be three programs this summer that are designed to meet your specific needs. If you are a first-time freshman, you can choose from two programs in June to attend. StART I will be June 24-25 and StART II will be June 27-28. When you register, you can choose which session works best with your schedule. If you are a transfer or International student, you will be attending our StART III program on Friday, August 22.  To ensure your spot for StART please use this website and the link in the upper-right hand corner to reserve your spot in the program.
