The Miami Piano Circle and Barry University host Dr. Martin Camacho-Zavaleta, world-renowned pianist for a pair of performances.

Camacho-Zavaleta, made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2009 to a sold-out house when he was a professor of piano in Barry University’s Fine Arts department. He has won more than a dozen local and international competitions in Mexico, Cuba and the United States and, given his accomplishments, is cited as one of the most important Mexican pianists of his generation. He has given recitals in the United States, Venezuela, Cuba, Japan, Norway and Mexico and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in the United States and Mexico.

Camacho-Zavaleta will also be appearing at the Steinway Piano Gallery in Coral Gables at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 29.

Both concerts are free and open to the public. The program will include unique Scandinavian compositions for piano by Sonstevold, Grieg, and Saeverud.
