Building a Better Barry

Building a Better Barry

An Important Message from the Department of Recruitment & Admissions

Kelley House Renovations:  Renovations are set to begin in Kelley House during this holiday break, and are expected to continue through approximately mid-January.

Project Description:  We are creating an updated Admissions Welcome Center for prospective students and their families.   We will replace the interior floor tile, upgrade bathroom fixtures and lighting, provide an open concept reception area and refurnish the lobby to provide a first class experience for our guests.  The current data entry/records processing area will be transformed into carpeted conference rooms.   The updated space will include state of the art audio visual and other technology.

Relocation:

  1. Several admissions and financial aid counselors, along with a Guest Relations Coordinator are being temporarily relocated to Thompson Hall.  The Thompson Commuter and Occupational Therapy Student Lounge (just off the Thompson lobby near the BucStop) will be the check-in location for all those who are seeking admissions or financial aid assistance.   This is where students and visitors will be welcomed and campus tours will begin.
  2. We will use the 2nd Floor Thompson Hall (former Accounts Payable Office) for undergraduate (UG) and graduate (GR) admissions counseling.  We will use Thompson Room 205 and the Thompson conference room (by the Gato Gallery) for UG and GR financial aid counseling.  Students and visitors must first check-in downstairs and will be escorted to the appropriate counselor on the second floor.
  3. The Undergraduate Records Processing area is permanently relocated to Farrell Hall, Rooms 201 and 201.
