The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) offers a free trip to the award winning Sawgrass Mills Mall. At the Sawgrass Mills Mall you’ll find the best selection of designer names at less than designer prices. With more than 270 manufacturer’s outlets, retail outlets and name brand discounters, Sawgrass Mills offers something for everyone. Experience one mile of shopping pleasure in a cool comfortable Florida atmosphere. You’ll find value and excitement as you explore the wide variety of shops and stores.

South Beach Trip

Grab your towel, sunscreen and extra spending money and join the Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) for a free trip to the one and only South Beach. Discover what’s hip, what’s hot, what’s happening when you visit south beach. Shopping, dining, entertainment and lots of south Florida sun await those who venture to trendy south beach. Limited space is available so please sign up in the Office of Student Activities, Landon Student Union, 206.

Snorkeling Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) sponsors a snorkeling trip to Key Largo, FL. The coral reefs in the Florida Keys are among the most beautiful and diverse of all living communities in the world. Living among the coral reefs are sponges, shrimps, crabs, turtles, lobsters and nearly 600 species of fish. Don’t miss this very exciting and educational experience we have to offer. There is a nominal fee which includes transportation and equipment rental. We recommend that you bring additional money to stop for food after the dive.

Shopping Mall/Movie Trips

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) regularly sponsors shopping mall/movie trips throughout the academic year. The trips are usually in the evenings or weekends and include a few hours at the local shopping malls and a private screening of a feature movie. The cost for this trip is nominal and includes the movie ticket and transportation to and from the shopping mall/movie theater.

Aventura Mall Holiday Shopping Trip

Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) is helping students with their holiday shopping by providing students with transportation to Aventura Mall. The Aventura Mall has more than 250 shops, restaurants and services featuring Bloomingdale's, JC Penny, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Sears, and Burdines.

Taste of the Beach Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) sponsors this free trip to South Beach every spring semester. Bring an empty stomach and comfortable walking shoes. Experience the tastes and smells of international foods in South Beach. Walk on the famous Ocean Drive, see Versace’s home and experience Art Deco of South Florida.

Coconut Grove Art Festival Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) is planning a free trip to the Coconut Grove Art Festival. Enjoy festivities with live musical performances, strolling minstrels, fine arts, extraordinary foods and much more. Bayside Marketplace Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) usually plans a free Bayside Marketplace trip during the fall semester. Bayside Marketplace is a retail dining and entertainment complex located on beautiful Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami. Featuring more than 150 shops, restaurants and bars, including Miami’s Hard Rock Café, Hooters, Pier 5 Market, Warner Bros. Studio Store, the Disney Store and an international food court. Open plazas create a permanent stage for street performers and free nightly entertainment.

Carnavale Miami Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) is planning a free trip to this huge, multicultural party! Get ready to experience a taste of the Caribbean and its culture. The trip includes transportation to and from the street party. Get ready to see the Caribbean culture, exhibition shows and to dance the day away!

Aventura Mall / Movie Trip

The Campus Activities Board is sponsoring a Mall/Movie trip to the Aventura Mall/AMC 24 Theaters. The private screening will feature an up and coming movie. Please inquire in the Office of Student Activities for more information about trip dates.

Metro Zoo

The Campus Activity Board sponsors a trip to Metro Zoo for all students. It is an all day trip that includes transportation, lunch and park entrance for a small fee. Join us as we venture to Metro Zoo and experience the natural wonders of the animal kingdom. Miami Seaquarium

The Campus Activities Board is sponsoring a trip to the Miami Seaquarium on March 15th. So if fish are your bag baby, hurry to the office of Student Activities for your chance to get on board the vessel for a cheap $5. The voyage to the Seaquarium starts early Saturday and there is limited spacing, so if you don’t want to walk the plank get your tickets early.

South Beach Evening Trip

Come and take an adventure with the Campus Activities Board (C.A.B) on a night out to the glitzy and glamorous South Beach. South Beach has become a magnet for celebrities, sophisticates and fun-lovers from all over the world. Michael Caine, Madonna, Ricky Martin and Gloria and Emilio Estefan are just a few of the big stars who have been spotted around town! Add the hosts of international supermodels and film crews, artists, older residents and young trendsetters and you have the colorful mix that fuels the feverish South Beach energy level. Don’t miss this extraordinary experience! This trip is free to all Barry students and is conducted periodically.

Performing Arts

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) plans regularly scheduled trips to the local performing arts theaters as well as helping to promote the Barry University student theatre performances that are held on campus in the Shepard & Ruth Broad Auditorium. South Florida always has some of the best performing arts entertainment to offer students. Featured theatre attractions include Broadway musicals, drama, modern dance and ballet, pop concerts and comedy. There is usually a small cost included in these events and limited space is available.

Art Deco Weekend Trip

The Campus Activities Board (C.A.B.) offers a free trip to the Annual Art Deco Weekend on Ocean Drive. C.A.B. will be providing transportation to South Beach, where spectacular art and entertainment will be displayed throughout the day. The Art Deco Weekend is open to the public and attracts thousands of people throughout the weekend.
