PURPOSE STATEMENT
The professional staff of Career Services assists students and alumni in accordance with the University's mission imperative of a caring environment. The goal of Career Services is to encourage each student to take personal responsibility to utilize the services to develop his or her career planning skills from freshman through senior year and beyond. Staff is available to provide counseling and assistance regarding career development issues to students and alumni. In order to serve all students and alumni, evening appointments are available upon request throughout the academic year.
The following services are available to all Barry University students and alumni:
- Individual and Group Career Counseling
- Workshops and assistance on resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, job searching techniques, working a career fair, and the graduate school application process.
- Full-time Job and Internship listings via eBUC$ (the electronic Barry University Career System)
- Industry specific career fairs and programs
- Career Interest Inventories such as the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator
- Career Library Resources
- On-campus Recruiting
