The Office of the Dean of Students provides support for the intellectual and personal development of all students - undergraduate, graduate, and adult learners - through a combination of advocacy, programming, and services that enhance the quality of campus life. Additional areas of responsibility include: fostering educational goal attainment, making appropriate referrals, promoting faculty-student collaboration, resolving conduct matters as chief student conduct officer, facilitating conflict resolution, coordinating medical withdrawals. The Dean also manages crisis situations and responds personally in the event of a life-threatening situation

Student Advocacy Center

The Student Advocacy Center provides students with information, advice, intervention, and referrals to ensure that all students in the university receive fair and equitable treatment and can access the information they need. The aim of the center is to help students become better informed so that they can focus on classes, make important decisions about their future and ultimately achieve a college degree. The Center also offers students a confidential, informal and neutral dispute resolution service.

The Center supplements, but does not replace, policies and procedures of the university. Its staff is committee to empowering students to overcome obstacles, provide them with direction, encourage them to attend programming and help them maximize their educational experience.
