Barry University’s Baccalaureate and Master's Degrees in Education

Barry University’s exciting new teacher education program is relevant to today's world, to the community and to the future of the education profession. The program is designed to create future leaders, with highly developed critical thinking skills, able to maintain a focus on civic and community advancement and the educational policy implications therein. Designed to provide a sound general education in Arts and Science as well as a firm grounding in curriculum and teaching, Take 5 allows students the opportunity to move seamlessly into a masters degree program in the fifth year. As they work toward these two degrees, students will engage in unique and appropriate experiential learning opportunities organized around four thematic strands that are systemically woven throughout all coursework. These include:
