The Rimers of Eldritch
Barry University Department of Fine Arts Presents
The Rimers of Eldritch
By Lanford Wilson
Directed by Dr. Hugh M. Murphy
A murder in a small Midwestern town. . . .
Everybody knows WHO did it . . . . .
But nobody know….WHY?
Set in a nearly deserted town on the verge of disappearing, Eldritch is a place where the only movie house closed eight years ago. Lanford Wilson's play has been compared to Our Town and explores the thousand lies that make up the fabric of everyday life in small town America. Wilson's innovative use of overlapping dialogue makes the people of Eldritch leap to vibrant life.
Barry Theatre productions are free and open to the public.
Some material in Rimers of Eldritch may be unsuitable for children.
