Institute for Hispanic/Latino Ministry and Theology

Barry's Institute for Hispanic/Latino Theology and Ministry is uniquely poised to help you answer the call to understand and speak to the theological and cultural world of the Latinos(as) who help comprise your congregations. Courses in Hispanic/Latino theology and ministry can be applied to the DMin, the MA in Practical Theology and Ministry or a Certificate.

Master's Degree Programs

Barry's Department of Theology and Philosophy offers three Master's programs designed to prepare you for service and leadership in the Christian Church:

Practical Theology and Ministry, MA: This 39-credit hour program, offered at Barry's Miami Shores Campus, provides foundational theological and ministerial education with several areas of specialization and study options.

Pastoral Theology, MA: This program is offered in the Diocese of Venice and is directed toward the preparation of a well-educated laity. The program is currently being taught-out.

Pastoral Ministry for Hispanics, MA: This program is offered through a collaborative effort with the Southeast Pastoral Institute (SEPI), an educational branch of the Southeast Regional Office for Hispanic Affairs.

Doctor of Ministry Program, DMin
