Melissa Behrle, BA in Theology, Class of 2006
Melissa Behrle chose Barry University because she wanted to study theology from a Roman Catholic perspective. Melissa double majored in theology and art and graduated from Barry's Honor's program. Her thesis was an ecclesiological and Christological reflection on her senior exhibition of her paintings. Melissa's thesis was awarded the Hugh Ripley Award for the best Honor's Thesis of 2005.

After graduation Melissa spent a year volunteering for Americorps, living in community with other volunteers and serving Habitat for Humanity for the year.

In 2006, Melissa received full scholarships for the Master of Divinity degree at both the University of Notre Dame and the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. She is currently in her third year of the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) at the Jesuit School.
