Profile

Charles Cassini begins his forty-third year of teaching at Barry University this academic year (2009-2010).  He holds graduate degrees in education from Florida Atlantic University and in philosophy from the University of Miami .  Mr. Cassini completed a master’s degree in practical theology at Barry University.  He is married and has two grown sons.

Mr. Cassini's publications include:

  • Islam: Claims and Counter Claims (i-Universe Press, 2001).
  • "Kitcher's Definition of A-priori Knowledge," Philosophy Today ( Fall 2004).
  • "Richard Hooker's Laws of Eccelisatical Polity as Point of Departure in Anglican/Roman Catholic Ecumenical Dialogues," Ecumenical Trends (March 2005).
  • "Transcendentals and The Trinity" (with Sr. Gloria Schaab, SSJ), The Heythrop Journal (Spring 2009)

In addition to a larger study of the philosophy of David Hume, Mr. Cassini has the following articles in progress:
