Academic Background: BA in English from Iona College, MA in Theology from Manhattan College, MS in Family Therapy from Biscayne College, PhD, in Humanities (Interdiscipline Study - Sociology and Religion) from Florida State University, and MJ (Masters in Jurisprudence) in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago.
Interests: As a teacher in theology, philosophy, and health law, Dr. Sause's interests lie the area of religion and culture (film, sociology/psychology of religion, literature), medical ethics, and legal liabilities surrounding health practitioners.
Associated Duties: Dr. Sause has served on the Institutional Review Board since its conception in 1994 and is designated as one of the representative members for School of Arts and Sciences as well as directing preliminary review of research projects submitted by the graduate theology students.
In addition, he is the Community Representative on the Ethics Committee at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. He has been an active member since the Committee's foundation in 1986.
