Program Options

To facilitate the varying professional needs of the diagnostic medical sonographer, two options of study have been established within the major. Option I has been designed for the student whose aptitude and/or interests lie more heavily in the sciences and is a bit more rigorous than Option II. We recommend our students take Option I, as they will be a more attractive candidate to internships and jobs if there is competition. The students will have a better chance for the more desirable internships and jobs. Either way, they are well prepared.
