Two police officer brothers among those to be honored at Barry University’s WPB Graduation Celebration this Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m.
West Palm Beach, Fla. – Barry University’s School of Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) will host its West Palm Beach Graduation Celebration this Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m. The event will take place in the gymnasium at St. Ann’s Catholic School, 324 N. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach.
Approximately 32 students from ACE will take part in the Graduation Celebration, with students from all over Palm Beach County being recognized. Among those being honored at the event are Deputy Sheriff Clarence Freeman and Lt. Alex Freeman, two brothers that serve as police officers in Palm Beach County. Clarence, a nine-year veteran of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, has earned his bachelor’s in Legal Studies. Alex, a 14-year veteran of the Riviera Beach Police Department, is being recognized for earning his bachelor’s in Public Administration. Both brothers began taking weeknight and weekend classes at ACE in 2003 while working full-time as police officers in order to earn their degrees.
Immediately following the event, Barry University’s Office of Alumni Relations will host a reception for all the new graduates. Approximately 200 people are expected to attend the Graduation Celebration. For more information, call Milly Kelly at (561) 622-9300.
