Three Polk County law enforcement officers become first to graduate from Barry University’s Bachelor’s in Public Administration program

Lakeland, Fla. – Three Polk County Law enforcement officers recently became the first to graduate from Barry University’s School of Adult and Continuing Education’s (ACE) Bachelor’s in Public Administration program.

Luis Diaz and Joseph Wilson of the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Michael Yodonis of the Lake Wales Police Department, joined more than 1,400 other graduates from various degree programs at Barry during commencement ceremonies May 5 in Miami. Diaz, Wilson and Yodonis spent the past several months attending ACE classes at night and on the weekends to earn their degrees. The three are the first to graduate from the new program, which is offered through a partnership with Polk Community College.
