Barry University is an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men’s baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women’s basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.

Over the years, we've won 16 NCAA championships, had 259 All-Americans, 299 Scholar All-Americans, and eight NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school and third overall.

Buccaneer Athletic Tradition

The Buccaneer athletic program is one of the most competitive in the NCAA Division II. Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams have advanced to the NCAA Tournament 20 straight years. The women’s tennis team earned their 22nd bid in 2013, the most of any of the Bucs’ 12 sports in the program. In addition, Barry’s coaches have also claimed 50 Sunshine State Conference ‘Coach-of-the- Year’ awards and eight National ‘Coach-of-the-Year’ awards.
