Barry University named among the top 50 small colleges for psychology

Barry University was recently named among the 50 top colleges for an undergraduate degree in psychology according to the Online Psychology Degree Guide. The organization published their 2015 list of 50 Great Small Colleges for a Degree in Psychology list of 50 Great Small Colleges for a Degree in Psychology with Barry taking the 28th overall spot.

Schools that earned a spot on the list are noted for providing students one-on-one attention found in a close-knit academic community while simultaneously providing them hgh-tec resources and research opportunities typically found at large universities.

Barry’s program earned notable marks due to its Annual Psychology Student Research Forum, which gives undergraduate students the unique opportunity to engage in meaningful research. Other factors that helped Barry earn a spot in the list included its small class sizes and the experiential learning opportunities available to Barry students though service learning projects.

The 2015 rankings were produced using by enumerating 10 characteristics that are important to a successful undergraduate psychology program. Schools were awarded a point for each element their program included.
