Black Student Union

The purpose of this organization is to unify Barry University students of African descent in order to:

• Act as an identifying and collective body for all Black students.
• Encourage growth and enhance cultural awareness of Black students at Barry University.
• Raise the social, political, and spiritual awareness of Black students at Barry University.
• Promote a larger dialogue between our members and the larger community.
• Cultivate the enrichment of the university experience by providing responsible programming, educational forums, and exciting activities.
• Serve as a support base to assist scholars of color toward the completion of their degrees.
• Encourage dialogue that will advance positive interaction and understanding between students of all backgrounds.
