Associate Vice President & Dean of Students, Pace University

Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo, Ph.D., is Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean for Students at Pace University, Westchester Campus, in New York. Lisa serves as the Chief Student Affairs Officer for her campus and provides overall leadership and direction to the division. Lisa has a Masters in Higher Education and College Student Personnel from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, an Education Specialists degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate in Leadership from Barry University in Miami, Florida.

At Pace University, Lisa was instrumental in the planning and vision of the $100M master site plan which consolidated two campuses into one. The plan called for building two new residence halls to accommodate 750 new students on the Pleasantville campus. Increasing the number of students on campus enhanced the student experience at Pace. Lisa transformed the housing model by advocating for living-learning communities and ensuring that it was part of the new plans for the campus. This included first year interest groups, faculty in residence, classrooms and study hall space to enhance learning. She has developed and created many other programs and services to enhance the student experience and was awarded The National Champion Jefferson Award for Community Service in 2014.

Before 2007, Lisa served as Associate Dean for Students at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and spent 15 years in housing and residence life at the University of Tampa, Barry University, University of Miami and Florida State University.

Lisa is an advocate for increasing the knowledge, research and practices of student affairs and services around the world and is a founding member and general secretary for the International Student Affairs and Student Services (IASAS) organization, which was chartered in Brussels, Belgium in July 2013. She has been involved in NASPA’s (Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education) International Education Knowledge community since 1994 and served as chair of the knowledge community in 2003-04.

Lisa was awarded a sabbatical from Pace University during the spring 2015 semester to serve as Dean of Student Life for a Semester at Sea Voyage. She is one of four editors of a new NASPA/IASAS publication, titled Supporting Students Globally in Higher Education: Trends and Perspectives for Student Affairs and Services. Lisa serves as an international advisory board member of the Journal for Student Affairs Africa (JSSA).

Lisa was a founding member of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi International Fraternity and is past president for the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA) and past chair for the International Education Knowledge Community for NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education). She sits on the Hardee Foundation Board for Florida State University and is part of the Semester at Sea faculty, staff council alumni board.

Lisa has been teaching leadership and management for Purdue Global University (formerly Kaplan University) for 12 years. In 2019 Lisa plans to serve another institution overseas as a Fulbright Specialist.

Lisa resides in Peekskill, NY with her husband, Joe, and their 6 pound Yorkie, Cinnamon. When Lisa is not at the university, she likes to travel, read, spin, walk her dog, and dine out.
