Plant the Campus Red/Community Garden/Orchid Project
Wednesday, November 13
9:30am – 11:00am:  Community Gardens located behind Cor Jesu Chapel
Dress down! Wear RED!

Arbor Day, a traditional event since 1941, serves as the inspiration for the current Plant the Campus Red Day which helps to beautify our campus in the spirit of service to our university.

Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to plant sustainable foliage in various locations throughout campus.

This year’s activities will include three planting sites: the Peace Pole, Andreas planters, and Kelley House. The Community Garden beds, located behind Core Jesu Chapel, will be installed for the year. Orchids native to South Florida will again be placed in trees in memory of Sister John Karen Frei, OP, who spent over 45 years ministering at Barry University. All attendees will be able to choose their favorite gardening project.  Refreshments will be provided.
