Founders' Week: Wednesday, Nov. 14 – Plant the Campus Red

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14
9:30am – 11:00am:  Cor Jesu Chapel Steps
Dress down and wear RED!

Plant the Campus Red will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 9:30 am at the Community Gardens located behind the Cor Jesu Chapel.

Arbor Day, a traditional event since 1941, served as the inspiration for the current Plant the Campus Red Day which helps to beautify our campus in the spirit of service to our university. This year’s activities will include the traditional planting of red impatiens, the Community Garden beds and an Orchid Clinic. Orchids native to South Florida will be placed in trees in memory of Sister John Karen Frei, OP, who spent 45 years ministering at Barry University and served as a teacher, an associate vice president, dean, and assistant to the provost. All participants will be able to choose their favorite project on this special day.

If you would like to participate, or for more information, contact Patricia Ramlow at pramlow@mail.barry.edu in the Office of Mission Engagement or (305) 899-3437
