The School of Adult & Continuing Education has changed its name!

The School of Adult & Continuing Education has changed its name!

After a year of intense research that included field studies and interviews, I am pleased to inform you that the Barry University School of Adult & Continuing Education will now be known as the School of Professional and Career Education (PACE). After the analysis of our student population was completed, the results indicated that this more appropriately and accurately reflects who you, our students are, and your perspectives on your academic journey with Barry University!

This is an exciting time for all of us, and we hope you will join our faculty and staff in celebrating this new era in professional and career education! If you have any questions, please contact my office or your advisor. I am including the message from Provost, Dr. Linda Peterson, below:

Dear Members of the Barry Community,

I am pleased to join Dean Andrea Keener, PhD, in announcing the new name for the school formerly known as Adult and Continuing Education. Effective immediately the name is now the School of Professional and Career Education. This name change and the market research conducted were done at the request of the dean, faculty and staff. The results found this name more clearly connects with prospective adult students.

The Department of Brand Marketing & Communication will begin the rebranding process with Dr. Keener and members of the School of Professional and Career Education.

Linda M. Peterson, PhD
Provost, Barry University

Sincerely,

Dr. Andrea Keener
