Recent Clinical Psychology graduate earns teaching position, interviewed on TV as expert

Sarah Sultan just earned her M.S. in Clinical Psychology (Class of 2019) but she already is teaching others at Effat University in her home country of Saudi Arabia. Her first class was Cognitive Psychology.

“It went well and smooth!” she said.

Sultan also volunteered at the university’s Positive Psychology Lab to do some research and experiments.

Her newest project is a pilot study on support groups for cancer patients.

“There are none in Saudi Arabia,” she said. “It is a huge project.”

Her successes don’t stop there. Sultan spoke to millions of people on TV recently, as she was interviewed as an expert on the psychology of friendships.

“It was basically about negative influence,” she said. “How people perceive friendship based on their psychological well-being, different personalities, supportive friends and gender."
