Anesthesiology Students Assist with Blood Drive & Health Screening

Last month, students from the Barry University’s Master of Science in Anesthesiology program assisted in providing health screenings for the St. Margaret Mary's Blood Drive and Blood Pressure Screening in Winter Park, Florida.

The students provided screenings that consisted of blood pressures, review of medications, and lifestyle modifications.

“Each student's professionalism and commitment were highly demonstrated in our Winter Park Community Outreach Program; today, health screenings are becoming highly regarded among health insurance companies,” said St. Margaret Mary’s parish nurse Michelle Hodge. “Therefore, continued efforts of collaboration between Faith Communities and Universities, such as Barry, can leave a lasting impression that we care for those in our communities.”

The anesthesiology program is proud to see students living the Barry mission and giving back to their community.
