Anesthesiology students receive Health Resources and Services Administration grant

Miami Shores, Fla. – Barry University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences was awarded a $63,803 grant for the Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship program from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Under the direction of Dr. Debra Molina, the HRSA granted students in the Anesthesiology program funds that go directly to students for the cost of tuition, fees and books.

Since 2009, the Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship grant has provided anesthesiology students more than $276,000 in scholarship funds.

All grant funds will be used to support programs for full-time students in the master’s or doctoral nurse anesthesia program at Barry University.
