The Right to Bear Arms: A Deliberative Dialogue on Gun Rights And Gun Control

The Center for Community Service Initiatives (CCSI) invites the Barry community to a Deliberative Dialogue on Gun Rights And Gun Control.

Should gun laws be reformed? Should there be stronger background checks? Can changes be implemented without violating the Second Amendment?  Hear different sides of the debate and contribute your own perspective regarding what should be done.

Deliberative Dialogue is a forum for working towards a common understanding of social issues, identifying practical solutions, and promoting workable public policy. Participants include students and alumni, faculty and staff, and community members.

Panelists include:

-Laura Loomer, President, College Republicans Club at Barry University
-Roland Pandolfi Ph.D., former Chief of Police for North Bay Village and current Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Union Institute & University in North Miami Beach
-Laura Finley, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Sociology & Criminology at Barry University
-Sean D. Foreman, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science at Barry University
-Isabella Hunter, Author, "You & Guns: A Conversation: The Practicalities of Gun Ownership."

The event is free and open to the public. Hosted by the Center for Community Service Initiatives.
