Barry University moves on to the National Ethics Bowl Competition

Barry University’s Ethics Bowl Team took second place in the 10th Annual Southeast Regional Ethics Bowl Competition on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Petersburg College. The team went undefeated in the regular rounds and defeated Wake Forest College in the semi-finals. They will compete in the National Ethics Bowl Competition in Jacksonville, FL, on February 27, 2014.

This year’s team is: Cheryl Frazier, junior philosophy major; Enrique Alvarado, senior English literature and philosophy major, Laura Loomer, junior broadcast journalism major; Rashel Calixte, senior pre-law major; Dianna Bellian, senior English literature major. The team is coached by: Sandra Fairbanks, Professor of Philosophy, Joel Wilcox, Professor of Philosophy, and Ruth Tallman, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, and sponsored by the Department of Theology and Philosophy.
