Princess Bailey helped lead the Buccaneers to their best start in Sunshine State Conference play since the 90-91 season at 4-0 when they went 12-0 in the SSC to win the only conference title. She was second on the team in scoring averaging 14.5 points per game, but led the Bucs in rebounds per game average (12.5), assists per game average (4.5) and steals per game average (6.5) for the week. She finished the week hitting 14 of 31 from the floor (.452) and averaged 33.5 minutes per game. Against Nova Southeastern, she shot 50 percent from the floor (7 of 14) and reeled in 10 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and recorded 8 steals (just two shy of her career-high). She wrapped up the week with a 15-point, 15-rebound performance against Florida Southern, while handing out 3 assists and 5 steals. She also had only two turnovers in two games for an assists/turnover ratio of 4.5.
Eddie Young led the Buccaneers to a 1-1 split in conference play this week. Against Nova Southeastern, he led all scorers with a game-high 17 points on the road in the University Center, while also pulling in 5 rebounds and dishing out one assist all within just 22 minutes of time on the floor. Against Florida Southern at home, he contributed 12 points, grabbed another 5 rebounds, and handed out two assists to guide Barry to a 23-point win over the Mocs. For the week, he averaged 14.5 points per game and 5 rebounds to help Barry improve to 11-3 and 3-1 in league play.
