Barry University women's golf team is ranked No. 7 in the NCAA Division II Golfweek preseason poll.

The Buccaneers, who finished fourth in the nation last year, return their entire starting lineup at the end of last season and a couple talented newcomers who add instant depth to a youthful, but at the same time veteran team under the new direction of acting head coach Shannon Sykora.

Rollins is ranked first in the Golfweek poll, followed by Florida Southern and Nova Southeastern -- all three members of the Sunshine State Conference. Barry and Saint Leo's inclusion in the top 10 give the league five members in the national poll.

Barry opens the season Sept. 17 at the Division II Women's Preview in Daytona Beach at the LPGA Legends Course.
