MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers pulled a big upset of the fifth-ranked Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters 3-0 at Buccaneer Field on Sunday.

The Bucs (3-1-0) got two goals from Henry Apaloo and one from Lee Yakubowich and Devala Gorrick stopped seven shots to post his second straight shutout.

Apaloo got the Bucs on the board in the 14th minute. Nenad Savic picked off a pass in the defensive third and pushed it quickly up through open space in the middle of the field. As the Railsplitters (2-2-0) converged, he served the ball up the middle to Apaloo who out-raced the defense to the ball and beat LMU keeper Brent Cole one on one.

Four minutes later, Savic again passed the ball up from the back, this time finding Tommy Nodland who served the ball up to Yakubowich for the goal.

In the second half, Nodland passed the ball up to Vuk Kojic who raced the ball down at the sideline and flicked a cross over to Apaloo who again scored into an empty net.

The Railsplitters held a 16-11 edge in shots, including 7-5 on goal, but Gorrick made seven saves to secure his second straight shutout. Cole had two saved for LMU before giving way to Patrick Riesenberg for the last 20:05.

The Bucs will host the St. Thomas Bobcats on Friday, Sept. 7 at 4:30 pm.
