Final Round
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Junior Johanna Soderstrom finished two-over par to lead the Barry University women’s golf team to a season-opening tournament win at the Lady Falcon Invitational on Sunday. The Buccaneers finished with a two-round score of 597 (299-298) for the win.
 
Fellow Sunshine State Conference member Nova Southeastern finished one stroke back in second place with a two-round 598 score, while NCAA Division I Stetson finished third at 609 (312-297). Lynn (316-304=620) and the Swedish Amateur Team (310-311=621) rounded out the top five.
 
Barry’s Johanna Soderstrom finished with a two-over-par score of 146 (71-75) to lead the Buccaneer field. She finished tied for second out of 73 individuals. RemiJin Camping (73-74) and newcomer Isadora Stapff (75-72) both finished tied for fourth with 147 two-round scores. Anna Haglind finished T31st (81-77=158), while Cristina Coll (80-79=159) finished T35.
 
Lynn’s Maha Haddioui was the tournament individual winner with a one-over-par score of 145 (72-73).
 
The Buccaneers will be back in action at the FGCU Invitational in Estero, Fla. Sept. 29-30.

First Round
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--The Barry University women's golf team got the season started right at the Lady Falcon Invitational hosted by Daytona Beach Community College at LPGA International on Saturday. The Bucs are in first place as the only team to break 300 on the opening round.

Buccaneer junior Johanna Soderstrom was the only player in the field of 73 to break par, shooting one-under 71 to lead the pack. Barry's RemiJin Camping carded a two-over 73 to sit tied for fourth, while newcomer Isadora Stapff is tied for ninth at 75. Sophomores Cristina Coll (80) and Anna Haglind (81) round out the Bucs entry which ended the first day at 299.

The Nova Southeastern are right behind the Bucs in second place after shooting 300 in the first round. The Swedish Amatuer Team (310), Stetson University (312) and Daytona Beach CC (313) round out the top five in the cosmopolitan field.

The tournament conlcudes on Sunday with a single round. The Bucs tee off from the first tee starting at 8:50 am.
