Women's Soccer Picks Up First Conference Win

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University women’s soccer team (4-5-0, 1-2-0) picked up their first conference win over the Eckerd Tritons 1-0 on Saturday evening at Buccaneer field.
 
The game remained scoreless through the first period despite terrific attempts at goal from Damarys Mendez and Silvia Lugo. The game-winner for the Bucs came from Mendez off an incredible pass from junior Tiffany Rolfing.
 
The goal was Mendez’ first and the team’s 11th for the season. Keeper Kelly Tryson also picked up her third win.
 
The Bucs will travel on Saturday, Oct. 6 to Florida Southern College at 4:30 pm.
