MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Amber Jack tossed her third no-hitter of the season and Ashley Likens belted a two-run homer in the sixth inning to lead the Barry Buccaneers (35-2) over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 2-0 at Buccaneer Field on Tuesday night. The second game of the softball doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.

Jack (21-0), who struck out the first four batters she faced, finished with seven strikeouts and two walks. Ashley Jones (15-7) took the loss for the Sailfish (29-20). She worked six innings, allowing seven hits, two runs and struck out two without issuing a walk.

The Bucs had four of their seven hits in the sixth inning, but managed just the two runs on Likens’ homer. Brittany Anderson led off with a base hit, but was thrown out at second trying to stretch it to a double. Shyla Rider followed with a single through the left side and was sacrificed to second base. Likens drilled a pitch from Jones over the leftfield wall. Megan Young followed with a single but was stranded.

The Sailfish had their only threat in the fifth inning. Caitlin Bouschet was hit by Jack leading off the inning and was sacrificed to second. Danielle Perotti followed with a walk, but Casey Gibson lined into a double play to end the frame.

The Bucs travel to Florida Southern this weekend for a three-game set with the Mocs.
