PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Barry University Varsity 8+ Athena Corodimas (cox), Janelle Cross (stroke), Robin Cascioli, Elise Carlson, Rhiannon Doka, Stephanie Logsdon, Stephanie Ricker, Summerlin Knipe] advanced to the Grand Finale of the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta and finished sixth in the Women's Varsity Hvwt. Eight Finals (Div. II & III).

The Buccaneers finished behind Rochester, Philadelphia University, Mercyhurst, Grand Valley State and heat winner Dowling (06:43.384). The Bucs were clocked with a time of 07:09.409.

Barry advanced to final after a third place finish in the semifinals earlier in the day. The Buccaneers were the lone representatives from the Sunshine State Conference in the Grand Finale, besting SSC Champion Nova Southeastern.

Barry stroked to a 06:40.321 finish behind Philadelphia University and Grand Valley State earning the spot in the finals. The Bucs finished five seconds ahead of SUNY Geneseo and beat St. Thomas and Charleston in the heat.

Grand Valley won the heat with a time of 06:31.354.
