MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men’s basketball team came out ready to go from the opening tip, as they dominated Rollins most of the way on their way to a 78-56 victory Saturday night in Sunshine State Conference action.

With it being senior day, the seniors were set to shine for the Bucs. Karega Tucker had a huge game throughout, as just four minutes into the contest, he took off and finished with a big dunk off an assist by Zach Trapp to give Barry an early three-point lead.

Rollins (18-8, 10-5 SSC) stayed with the Bucs despite the large crowd that rocked the Health and Sports Center all game long.

After the Tars took a one-point lead, Barry closed the half on a 9-2 run to take a six-point lead into halftime.
Tucker then began to hit from the outside in the second half, as he scored 10 straight points for the Bucs over a two-minute stretch, hitting two treys and two layups.

Zach Trapp also came up big for the Bucs, as his layup at the 12:16 mark pushed the lead to 17.

Rollins would trim the lead down to 10 a few times, but Bryan Chiverton made eight free throws in a row down the stretch to secure the victory.

Tucker led all scorers on senior night with 23 points and eight rebounds. Trapp added 18 points, going 4-for-10 behind the line and Erick Nsangou added 14 points.

Barry will return to action this Wednesday when they play at Lynn beginning at 7:30 p.m.
