BOCA RATON, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneer fell 61-51 to the Lynn Knights in Sunshine State Conference women’s basketball in the de Hoernle Center on Wednesday night.
The Bucs (15-11, 6-9 SSC) cut the lead to 38-37 at the 13:25 mark of the second half, after trailing by nine at the break, and trailed just 52-49 with 3:36 remaining. But the Knights (16-10, 7-8 SSC) rolled off nine straight points to go up 61-49 at the 0:28 second mark on a pair of free throws by Chelsea Patterson.
Princess Bailey led the Bucs with 20 points and Mariesa Greene added 15, while Lucy Martinez had a career-high 10 steals. Natalie Basore was the only Knight in double figures with 14.
The Bucs close the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Florida Tech.
