BOCA RATON, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers beat the Lynn Knights 55-50 at the de Hoernle Center Wednesday night in Sunshine State Conference men’s basketball action.
With the game tied at 46-46 with 1:51 remaining, the Bucs (12-14, 7-8 SSC) hit seven of eight from the free throw line as they rolled off a 9-4 run to close the game.
Erick Nsangou scored a game-high 16 points, while Karega Tucker added 15 for the Bucs. Chris Hall led Lynn (16-10, 7-8 SSC) with 16 points and Randy Jones came off the bench with 13.
The Bucs led 22-21 at halftime, despite missing all seven free throw attempts in the period. Zach Trapp’s two three-pointers led the way.
Tucker’s three-pointer at 11:47 game the Bucs a 31-30 lead that Lynn was never able to regain.
The Bucs won their fourth straight and close out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Florida Tech in Melbourne, Fla.
