PONOMA, Calif.— The Barry University men’s tennis team took an easy victory from Cal Poly Ponoma on Sunday afternoon, winning 9-0.
The doubles teams started the day off correctly, taking each match in relative ease. Max Wimmer and Roman Werschel won 8-4 against Joe Madoo and Salvador Romero. In number two doubles, Sergio Velez and Jakub Fejfar beat Joshua Lau and Jackie Vachirajongkol 8-2. Andrew Sharnov and Marcello D’Armas took the number three spot, beating Eric Carlstrom and James Lee 8-3.
In singles action, The Bucs took all matches as well. Sharnov, Werschel, Velez, D’Armas, Wimmer, and Fejfar took spots one-six respectively.
The Bucs return to action on Monday against Division II powerhouse Hawai’I Pacific at 10:00 am.
