MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.—The Barry Buccaneers split a non-conference doubleheader with Georgia College on Wednesday at the Peeler Complex winning game one 1-0, but dropping the second game 2-1.

In the first game, Amber Jack (7-4) tossed her second straight one-hit shutout and tied her career-high with 14 strikeouts. Shyla Rider provided the offense with an RBI double in the fifth inning to score Grace Collins with the only run of the game.

GCSU’s Mandy Chandler (10-4) matched Jack with 14 strikeouts, but gave up one run on three hits and walked three.

In the nightcap, Chandler picked up the win, striking out 10 over seven innings and allowing a run on six hits and four walks.

Jack, who on in relief of Brianna Smith, took the loss. She gave up four hits, three in the final inning including a double to Anna Parker which scored Stephanie Lezcano with the game winner.

Trailing 1-0, the Bucs tied the game in the sixth inning as Amber Durkin reached on a walk and scored on a single by Collins.

The Bucs travel to Dahlonega, Ga., for the Captain D's Classic at North Georgia where they have two games each against the host Saints and Columbus State.
