MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University baseball team tallied several more hits and runs to trounce Felician, 16-4, Wednesday night at Feinbloom Field.

Barry (16-2) got behind early, then never looked back.

Felician (5-5) tallied a pair of runs in the top of the first inning, but their lead was short lived.

Junior Yas Gutierrez, sophomore Manny Pedrozo and senior Mitch Rodriguez all came through with RBI hits in the bottom of the first to turn a 2-0 deficit, into a 3-2 Bucs lead after one.

Barry would score in each of the first seven innings, as they tallied five more in the sixth to expand the lead to 15-2.

In the five-run sixth, freshman Julio Ramos tallied a pinch-hit RBI single and junior Yan Gomes also plated another run, part of his 4-for-5 night at the plate, including 4 RBI.

Freshman T.J. Mullins (1-1) benefited from all the run support, as the right-hander pitched five innings, allowing just two earned runs on four hits, while striking out six.

Barry will be back in action this Friday when they host Pace for the first game of a four-game weekend series beginning at 6 p.m.
