Men's Tennis Blanks Saints

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.— The Barry University men’s tennis team blanked the Flagler Saints on Sunday, winning 6-0 to move to 13-1 on the season.
In doubles action, Ales Svigelj and Andrew Sharnov beat David Cotrone and Harry Snoxell 8-5. In doubles tow, Emanuel Fraitzl and Roman Werschel Gino Ramirez and Kyle Maloof 8-5. In three doubles, Sergio Velez Marcello D’Armas J.P. Llano and Mason Addison 8-6.
In singles action, Svigelj beat Cotronw 6-3, 6-4 in the number one spot. In number two singles Fraitzl beat Ramirez 6-2, 6-4. Meanwhile in number three singles, Werschel beat Harry Snoxell 6-3, 7-6 (8).
With the Bucs up six matches to none, the final three sets were played by super tie-breaker rules, so though Jakub Fejfar, Velez, and D’Armas won all three, no points points were awarded in the non-regulation matches.
The Buccaneers return to action at home on Tuesday, March 17 against John’s Hopkins at 3 pm.
