MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University baseball team had no problem notching their 13-straight win, as they defeated Merrimack, 12-1, Monday night at Feinbloom Field.

Barry (21-2) with their new No. 10 Collegiate Baseball ranking, took a little bit before getting the offense churning against the Warriors.

After three scoreless innings, the fourth became the Bucs inning to pile up the runs.
Yudelmis Hernandez started the scoring with a two-run double for the first two runs of the game.
After Hernandez later scored on a wild pitch, Danny Lima double to plate Nick Shaw to give Barry a 4-0 advantage.

The Bucs added four more in the fifth behind a Shaw two-run double to boost the lead to 8-0.

With the offense once again dominant, the pitching benefited.

Corey Witkowski worked the first three innings, then T.J. Mullins came on in relief to pitch three scoreless innings for his second win of the season. Mullins struck out five and allowed just one hit.

Hernandez had a big night for the Bucs, as he went 3-for-4, tallying two runs and 4 RBI.

Barry will now have a few days off before jumping back into Sunshine State Conference action Friday when they host Florida Tech beginning at 6 p.m.
