MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University baseball team returned to their offensive ways, blasting Mercy, 16-0, Tuesday night at Feinbloom Field.

It didn’t take long for the lightshow on offense to begin for the Bucs, as the third inning rolled in and never left.

Barry tallied 12 runs in the inning, as several players delivered big hits, with Yas Gutierrez starting the RBI party with a two-run single plating Nick Shaw and Danny Lima.
Yan Gomes help put a punctuation mark on the inning with his grand slam to left-center.

Yudelmis Hernandez had another big game for the Bucs, hitting two home runs, including the first run of the game in the second, and later another solo shot in the fifth to increase his season total to 11.

Several Bucs pitched against the Mavericks, with Corey Witkowski recording the victory, his second of the season.

The No. 8 ranked Bucs will return to Sunshine State Conference play this Friday when they play at Eckerd beginning at 7 p.m.
