COLUMBUS, GA.—The Barry University women's soccer team dropped a close one on Friday evening, falling 2-1 to Tusculum College.
 
The Buccaneers (2-4-0, 0-1 SSC) struck first midway through the first half when Sarah Wolfer gave Brianni Lorenzo a bump pass in the box. Lorenzo beat the Pioneer (6-2-0) keeper, Rachel Jennings, one on one.
 
Tusculum tied it up seven minutes later when Michelle Meade shot from 20 yards out, beating Emily Brunnschweiler.
 
The Pioneers finished it early in the second half when Kayla Durden scored the game winner with 40 minutes remaining in the second half.
 
The Bucs took nine shots, six on goal. Brunnschweiler had zero saves, and moves to 2-3-0 on the season.
 
The Bucs return to action on Sunday, September at Georgia College at 1:00 pm.
