In set one, the Bucs (11-8, 2-6 SSC) worked out to a 9-5 lead. Many of the Buccaneer hitters got in on the offensive run as Julia Ridley, Ady Alcantara, Julia Teixiera, Samara Ferreira, and Stefanie Sveiven all had kills. The Bucs held the five point lead through 15-10 before the Sailfish (10-11) fought back, brining it within one at 17-16. The Bucs and Sailfish traded points back-and-forth through 23-21 before two Sailfish errors gave the Buccaneers the 25-21 win.
In set two, the Sailfish worked out to leads of 10-6 and 15-10. The Bucs offense rallied, taking three of the next four points— all the result of Sailfish errors, to get within two at 16-14. Still trailing by two at 22-20, a Sveiven kill and a PBA error tied the game up at 22-22. Two more Sailfish errors and a Libby Walter kill gave the Bucs set two, 25-23.
Set three saw the Sailfish take small leads of 12-10 and 20-17 before winning 25-20.
