MIAMI SHORES, Fla.— The Barry University women’s basketball team obliterated the Broward College Lady Seahawks in an exhibition game in the Health and Sports Center on Thursday. The Bucs won 88-32.
The Bucs were hot in the first half, getting out to huge leads of 21-11 midway through the half, and 39-13 with 5:20 remaining in the half.
In the final minutes of the first half, Jennifer Lopez and Tilde Ahlin combined for three three pointers to help the Bucs to a 54-16 halftime lead.
The Bucs extended their lead in the early parts of the second half, going on a 14-8 run with the help of easy layups by Shana Suttington and Mariesa Greene.
The Bucs extended their lead to 56 points, winning easily 88-32.
Greene led the way for the Buccaneers, scoring 25 points and grabbing seven boards. Ahlin and Tasheema Lewis combined for 26 points while Lewis led the Bucs with nine rebounds.
