WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Barry baseball team posted runs in every inning except two en route to an 11-3 win over the University of the Sciences Devils on Saturday.

Barry (9-5) senior shortstop Nick Shaw went 2-for-2, with three RBI, three walks, one stolen base, and three runs from the leadoff spot in the lineup. Evan Ashley also drove in three, going 2-for-6 with one run and one stolen base.

Barry drew blood first in the bottom of the first scoring a run off two Devils errors. The Bucs then tallied two runs in the second, two runs in the third, one in the fifth and one final run in the eighth. The bulk of the Buccaneers’ runs came in the seventh inning where Barry added four to make it a 10-3 game.

Brad McAllister (2-2) earned the win giving up one run off of three hits in four innings of work. McAllister struck out six and walked one. The Bucs split the game with Brett Hammaker, Robbie Conver, Brian Santana, and Aaron Main all seeing time on the hill.

The Bucs compiled seven hits, swiped eight bases, and drew 16 walks in the afternoon affair.

The next game for the Buccaneers is Tuesday, March 9, against Florida Memorial at Feinbloom field. Barry defeated Florida Memorial 10-1 last Sunday.
